At the moment, the Cowichan Valley is a wonderful community, somewhat unspoiled and chock-full of people who seem to love life in its many expressions. Some are newcomers and some have been here forever. Few plan to leave.

Nick Versteeg is quite typical. Pastry chef. Video expert. Culinary energizer. And small scale farmer. He lives a few clicks down the road from us, closer to the Cowichan River than we are, but very close to our goals and principles.
